with Full Moon overhead
is from the Steelers opening night in
size and name (along with a mat color)
I took these photographs on September
7, 2006. This was the night the Pittsburgh Steelers had their
home/season opener after winning Super Bowl XL. To celebrate the
city was full of extra lights and as luck would have it, a full moon.
All photos were taken from the West End (Elliot) Overlook facing
the downtown skyline, including the fountain at The Point. One of
my favorite photographs from this series is Pitt 22h where the lights
along the river shine directly upwards towards the full moon rising.
The Harvest moon from that night was a brilliant orange in the
early part and slow changed colors as it rose above the cityscape.
