I took these photographs of the Mellon Arena during the autumn of 2009.  This allowed me to capture the marquee sign at the entrance showing that the Penguins were the 2009 Stanley Cup Champions.  The Mellon Arena is known to the Pittsburgh fans more so as the Civic Arena or The Igloo since it is home of the Pittsburgh Penguins.  The photos were taken near twilight, providing some of the color, and from various vantage points.  I was able to capture the new Console Energy Center in the background of Pitt 038d while other photos show the downtown Pittsburgh Skyline or the Epiphany Catholic Church.  These photographs were originally taken in color but there are black and white versions available by clicking the link near the top of the page.
